The green change for a happy world

The green change for a happy world

The youth forum was started with an introduction on current policy frame works and youth involvement in climate change. This was a comprehensive analysis on the global arena of climate change. After a serious discussion we moved on to something fun and exciting. We went back to our childhood and designed a futuristic  space shuttle with all human needs. This group activity incorporated allot of creative and innovative idea’s because we started thinking out of the box. We indirectly started realizing the seriousness of climate change because nobody wanted to live in the space shuttles we designed

Afterwards we were asked to design a green world from magazine cut-outs. We pictured a world full of greenery, love, happiness, unity, equality, tranquillity and resourcefulness. After the realization of the ultimate sustainable world we envisioned our thoughts and hopes from the pictures of magazines. It was amazing to see that all of us wanted to same changes regardless of our differences. Our ideas were also recorded in a policy statement so that they could be shared among other youth around the world.

After a great time of jumping round, having fun and learning  the core meaning of climate change was communicated and related though “sustainable happiness”. We realized that the world revolves around happiness and discussed ways of being concerned about world happiness . In this session we identified ourselves as humans and collectively realized the joy of being human. We understood that global peace and equality is possible only if we work together with love, harmony and unity.

After an interactive discussion of current policy procedures, future challenges, envisioning the ultimate green world, collectively drafting a policy and relating everything towards sustainable happiness, we wanted more!. Finally, we discussed innovative methods of communicating climate change to the public which included youth participation in policy reform and action based projects.
