EDEX Career Guidance Fair which
was held in January 2012, an excellent opportunity for
the National Road to Rio Campaign as it was the perfect place to
create awareness for the campaign targeting the youth of our
country. What we were we able to achieve form the 3 days of
the exhibition was massive, we were able to promote our policy statement,
which would be the key in achieving our campaign goals. We were able receive different
views and opinions from youth from different parts of the country, which in
hand would enrich our policy statement that we will be presenting at the Rio
Earth Summit. Around 3500 youth supported the policy paper, and also was willing to
support our future events.
Also during the three days, thcampaign received many positive remarks
from various individuals such as the Honarable minister for
environment and the additional secretary for the ministry and they also pledged their support towards our campaign. Many organizations
and institutions also approach and stated that they would support and that they
would like partner with our campaign.
As a whole, the campaign achieved a
lot of support that would be vital for the journey of the campaign.
